The Fresh Prince Golfing Brings My Two Favorite Things Together

Today I'd like to write a little about two of my favorite things combined into one post: The Fresh Prince of Bel Air and Golfing.

I know that the two must seem wildly incongruous to most, but upon closer examination, there are several connections. First, we seen Will Smith, the Fresh Prince golfing on no less than two occasions during the course of the series. This may seem odd considering he is from "West Philadelphia, born and raised..." but not so much when we realize that he is transplanted to the upscale neighborhood of Bel Air in Los Angeles, where golfing is avidly pursued.

In one memorable episode, the Fresh Prince enters a golf tournament with Uncle Phil as his teammate because Carlton won't play for fear of losing. The results are both humorous and surprising.

In the other instance of the Fresh Prince golfing that I can recall, Will and his young cousin take their dates to a miniature golf course for a date that turns into a night of hysterical hijinks.
